Gumnut Kidz’ children are divided into 3 groups,
dependant primarily on age, and secondly on
ability;

Koalas (2-3 years),
Platypus (3-4 years)
Wombats (4 years & over).

The programme we offer provides activities and
enjoyable experiences aiming to stimulate and
challenge the social, physical, cognitive and emotional
development of every child. Children are involved in
small group and individual activities following a familiar
yet flexible routine that aims to meet the needs of all
the children. Our program is well planned, yet dynamic enough to flow with changing children’s interest.

The areas of language, music & movement, art & craft, construction and dramatic play are explored and designed to extend the children's interests, meet individual needs and challenge children's strengths. We advocate learning through exploration & discovery in an environment that allows learning to take place.

By complementing this with an educational goal-based programme and a curriculum that encourages exploration, experimentation and inquiry, we fulfil our aim which is to develop children’s problem solving skills and their understanding of the physical and social world. Parental input is always welcome.
